This is a classic octohedral gem fluorite from the region, with superb form and a pleasing pastel green color to it. The crystal measures approximately 6 x 6 x 5 cm in size. The piece is nicely illustrated (before cleaning!) in a very large and fine article on this specific locality, by Dr. Peter Lyckberg, which appeared in Mineralien Welt in April of 2011-we have a copy. It is simply the classic form, color, and style one would want from this mining district to accompany an aquamarine also from here. Joe Budd photos.
