An outstanding specimen of Sphalerite from the Idarado mine (2500' Level, Japan Vein). The crystals show very sharp, tetrahedral form (with minor modifications) with a lustrous jet black appearance. The specimen was collected by Clancy Fleetwood (Brian Kosnar's great-grandfather) in August of 1970 and comes from the famous Colorado mineral collection of Richard Kosnar.
