A DRAMATIC and SIGNIFICANT, two-sided, LARGE CABINET specimen from the famous Grizzly Bear Mine, near Ouray, Colorado. This HISTORIC, OLD-TIMER has 11, frosted, light pink rhodochrosite rhombs to 4.1 cm, nicely scattered on a partially hollow, two-sided crust of needle quartz crystals. The backside has 3 rhodo crystals. AMAZINGLY, this huge piece is essentially pristine, except along the contacted periphery! Specimens of this size and quality are almost NEVER available from the Grizzly Bear Mine. Ex. Stoudt Collection.
