Unusual for its vivid, deep sky-blue color, this cluster of lustrous and translucent, fluorite crystals, to 5 cm across, is exceptional in both tone and depth of color. It is certainly from a famous pocket of the late 1980s, known for this luscious and pure coloration (unusual without phantoms or a yellow core); and they are valued very highly on the market for obvious reasons. When backlit, they practically glow. In fluorescent room lighting, they have a slightly richer hue than under halogens (as shot). Although there is some edge wear, this is a dramatic and large (580 grams) specimen with fancy color and a beautiful display.
