A superb and super-rich specimen of fan-like clusters of lustrous, bladed yellow-green autunite from the Daybreak Mine of Washington. These specimens were mined in the 1960s. The autunite bundles cover the entire exceptional and sturdy specimen, which is solid autunite. This specimen is of the highest quality and is nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of contacting on one end. This is the classic US mineral and locality for a radioactive. Ex. Mullane Collection and comes with a 1960s or early 70s vintage label. The Mullanes retired to Oregon and thus lived not far from the mine here in Washington during its heyday.
