Baryte
Unknown Owner
Pristine and sparkling, this cabinet specimen of blue/white Baryte is excellent for the district. The Baryte crystals have highly lustrous blue terminations, and there are about six cauliflower clusters comprising the specimen. Mined in 1993. When first found the Barytes were pure white - they developed their blue color when exposed to daylight. Most interesting mineralogically, and very aesthetic, this is an excellent piece from a unique pocket (as Ross Lillie writes on the back of his own label here).
