This is a very large specimen from the famous find known as the Perkin Sams pocket after the Texas oilman. This is a fine piece with fat crystals of azurite almost completely pseudomorphed into rich velvety malachite. The blocky crystal form and color scheme is classic and near unique to this pocket, and is very readily identifiable in context of other Tsumeb finds. A seam of bright blue azurite shows through on the smaller of the two conjoined crystals. Ex. Willy Israel Collection.
