A matrix of albite and intergrown alkali-rich beryl crystals is highlighted by an unusually thick alkali-rich beryl crystal that is tabular, lustrous and translucent, with a superb deep sky blue color. The thickness of the crystal is right at 1 cm. Overall a very rich, if not particularly elegant, specimen. However, given how small this pocket was, it is a significant piece. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
