Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. Although the area is defunct, it produced some amazing specimens about 40 years ago. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing Apatite specimens. This piece features a few tabular, translucent, greenish Apatite crystals measuring up to 2.3 cm which are intermixed with lovely gun-metal silver, highly lustrous, prismatic Arsenopyrite crystals measuring up to 4.1 cm along with a cluster of matte-luster Sphalerite measuring 4.2 cm across plus accenting tan Siderite rhombs. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
