Quartz (Var: Smoky Quartz), Quartz (Var: Amethyst)

Here is a great Smoky Quartz/Amethyst scepter on white Quartz from a new locality in Hallelujah Junction in California. I obtained this specimen directly from the miner who collected it. It actually has some very good form and color, for any locality, especially one in the U.S. This specimen features a very sharp, lustrous, well formed, defined scepter crystal with a distinct tri-color variation, and look gorgeous when backlit. There are a few very minor nicks around the specimen that keep it from being a world-class Quartz, but this area is brand new and has the potential to produce some very impressive specimens.
