An old-time, fine specimen of solid malachite from the Ural Mountains of Russia. The very vuggy, lighter colored, banded malachite is topped by darker green, botryoidal malachite. Very interesting accents are the tiny, sparkly, primary malachite on the botryoids. A classic specimen, accompanied by an old label. This piece certainly dates to prior to World War I. Weighs at 316 grams. Ex. Mullane Collection.
