This is a rare style of Nchwaning rhodo I call "blast shield" style for the thick, rounded-up masses in which it has formed over an underlaying matrix of fibrous but massive rhodochrosite. This piece has excellent color and presents a pristine display face, though of course it is contacted at the edges. Most of this style tend to be flat plates, but this is very 3-dimensional.
