Label: Fluorite, 10.2-cm “floater” crystal group, from the Slitt vein, Blackdene mine, Ireshopeburn, Weardale, Durham (LG-344). The crystals appear slightly curved along one axis. It was recovered by miner Kenny Stephenson of Frosterley, and sold to Richard Barstow in 1978; in 1982 it was sold by Richard’s widow, Yvonne, to Ralph Sutcliffe, whose collection was acquired by Lindsay Greenbank in 1991.
