Corundum (Var: Sapphire)
A fantastic, complete and doubly-terminated, huge crystal of purple sapphire (corundum) from the finds in Madagascar. This wonderful floater crystal weighs 55 grams. It has fine luster both on the prism faces and terminations. As with other crystals from this find, it is very slightly translucent to opaque.
