An excellent and uncommon combination specimen from the High Atlas Mountains of Morroco - Bou-Agrao Mt. A large vug is lined with sharp, hexagonal, grayish-white nepheline crystals to 1.8 cm and nicely complimentary, lustrous, jet-black crystals of schorlomite. The textabook, dodechedral crystals reach 1.5 cm. Schorlomite is a rare garnet group member and much of the material labeled "schorlomite" is, strictly speaking, titanian andradite. Excellent, highly representative combination material of the species and locale.
