WOW! Stellerite is a ho-hum mineral sometimes, most of the time even, I will admit. This piece, however, is a world class, stunning example of the species that is ALSO by nice coincidence just a damned impressive specimen for overall aesthetics and style. It is a trophy level specimen because of the sheer size and quality (luster, color, completeness); and it is aesthetic enough and large enough to also be, in addition, a world class example of a zeolite species. I love it when we get the merger of aesthetic colelctor quality AND scientific import in a larger context. It is certainly one of the 2 or 3 best of this type, I have seen out of literally hundreds. This is an old specimen from the George Feist collection. Comes with custom base.
