A CLASSIC, OLD-TIME specimen of multi-shaded blue azurite blades and azurite rosettes from Chessy, France. This is a showy, complex piece with some of the azurite blades and rosettes having high luster. Nearly complete, with only a couple of points of attachment. The ancient Chessy mines were closed by the end of the 19th century and this is a fine example of a classic form and species. Ex. George Elling Collection.
