The configuration and color distinction of this Inner Mongolian blue Fluorite on Quartz sets it apart from other Quartz-Fluorite combos from China! Mesmerizing inky blue, highly modified, almost rounded, Fluorite crystals are distributed among a coarse druse of white Quartz for dramatic contrast. Looking at the bottom and back of the piece it becomes obvious that the white Quartz druse fashions as a cape over a core of an earlier generation of large, translucent Quartz crystals and that there is also an earlier generation of green Fluorite! The color and textural contrast between the inky blue, 2mm to 2cm, complex Fluorite crystals and the snow-white, matte lustered, coarse Quartz druse along with the isolated distribution of the Fluorite creates a well-balanced and intriguing display specimen. The Fluorites are all clean, even the tiny octahedrons dotting the front of the Quartz. For this find, this is a truly exceptional piece that would look striking in any collector’s display. Comes with a customized acrylic base.
