Expert lapidary work is apparent in this free-form carving by renowned azurite-malachite specialist Bud Standley. He is best known for his carvings from old Arizona material, such as this. The richness of the concentric banding of lighter blue against deep indigo is revealed by the excellent polish. This material is from the famous Copper Queen Mine at Bisbee. 2.4 x 1.7 x 1.1 cm
