An EXCELLENT, sharp and lustrous chrysoberyl variety alexandrite from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Old material with excellent pleochroism, meaning color change under different lighting conditions, i.e., natural versus incandescent. This crystal almost has a schiller effect or play of light - purple, blue and lavender. Ex. Carl Davis Collection.
