An incredible, arborescent cluster of azurite from this classic locality, now defunct. This is an older specimen found at least several decades ago, and long in the collection of Richard Kosnar, from whose son Brian I obtained it. It is one of the finest specimens I have seen for sheer aesthetics, and one of the few Utah azurites that could ever hold its own with azurite from other locales in a worldwide azurite exhibit. And, it happens to be large and pristine. The only slight defect is a very invisible, clean repair on the large stalactitic cluster, near its join to the main part of the specimen. For significance, for the US collector, I cannot imagine owning a better one considering what is available on the market today
