Orthoclase is certainly not something you think of when you think "gem," but from Itrongay, it can be found in a superbly gemmy form, absolutely clear, with a pretty lemony color that is actually better in person than the photo indicates. The crystal has naturally jagged contours, sort of like a kunzite. This fine gem crystal weighs 10 grams.
