A curving, lustrous, 3-cm-plus heulandite crystal; freestanding atop a matrix of smaller crystals. A very attractive specimen, compared to many I have seen from here, and evidently an old piece as well. There were several East Coast specimens in the Linck collection with large labels like this, and several noted that they had been obtained by Gage from Colonel Washington Roebling! Now this is a good specimen on its own merits, BUT this is an ORIGINAL 10x6 cm label in Washington Roebling's own handwriting (as compared to other verified Roebling labels such as this one). Since Roebling was a Jersey native, this is quite nice. 10 x 7 x 3.5 cm
