Rich clusters of twinned Cassiterite crystals are nicely-distributed across this granitic matrix, from Cligga Head in Cornwall. The Cassiterites range up to about 1 cm, and they have very good luster and form. These crystals are associated with needles of Tourmaline and both are intergrown with fluorescent Orthoclase. Tourmaline is obviously very rare from this region, in thin crystals or not! This very fine, small cabinet specimen bears a great resemblance to a similar, 1934-dated piece that is found in the Museum d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris. Formerly in the Georg Gebhard collection before Hefendehl.
