This is a big, fat Santa Rosa Mine tourmaline, weighing 218 grams! It is multiply terminated on one end, the growth in the center having stopped when it grew against the white albite, but continuing around the side of it to the eventual curved, stepped termination. The crystal is pink at the bottom and teal at the top. It is complete all the way around, with no contacts around the sides. The luster is superb, too! A couple of little tourmalines and some lepidolite have grown on the patch of albite the crystal wrapped itself around.
