A very large specimen of SOLID azurite and malachite, no matrix or "rock" at all. There are crystals all over this specimen, including unexposed ones in the center of the specimen, in a seam that is lined with crystals. It is basically a whopper chunk completely composed of azurite crystals and massive malachite - very impressive and incredibly rich! It is from an erratic azurite boulder brought home in the late 1960s by a mining engineer who worked there, to Los Angeles.
