This find really shocked the mineral collecting world, because botryoidal fluorites are rare, and here you had not only purple ones (which had rarely been seen before), but sometimes in huge sizes. This specimen weighs 5.7 pounds. These translucent specimens glow a luscious purple under good light. Those flattish sides are NOT damage or cleaves, they are natural deformations.
