Not your typical Turquoise specimen! Crystals of this otherwise common species used in lapidary and jewelry are rare on earth. This sparkling and rare Turquoise piece hails from the historic prospect at Lynch Station, Virginia, which happens to be arguably the world's best locality for crystalline Turquoise - and the oldest U.S. locality! This impressive piece consists of vibrant, teal blue sinuous ribbons composed of glistening micro-Turquoise crystals that trace through a matrix of brecciated Quartz. This attractive piece sits well on its own for display. A major USA classic, now seldom seen for sale. I have been told that most of these predate the 1980s and it is no longer accessible for specimen collecting.
