This is one of the larger sceptered elbaites out of Steve Smale's collection. Only minor contact on the back side of the termination prevents this specimen from being as pristine as some of the others. However, it IS doubly-terminated, and I have never seen another such crystal! The bottom red zone has a real termination, somehow! 5.9 x 1.2 x 1.1 cm
