Beautiful, intense blue azurite hemispheres with cut and polished display surfaces. Despite its wealth of copper mineralization, copper carbonates are not common at this mine and these azurite balls found here rank them highly compared to similar ones from other locations. This pair is very beautiful with concentrically banded dark to very dark royal blue azurite surrounding a stellate vug containing glistening, micro azurite crystals. It is in excellent condition on the exterior with well-polished interior surfaces. These were relatively common several years ago, but now difficult to find since mining here has progressed through the oxidation zone. This is a particularly nice, complete and colorful example of azurite from this mine. The pair comes with a custom acrylic base.
