Miargyrite is a rare silver species, rarely crystallizing dramatically. Here we have a cascade of sharp crystals of this silver antimony sulfide, though running aesthetically down the front of contrasting matrix. The spray of crystals extends 3.7 cm along the matrix face. The contrast highlights the sharp crystals much better than normal metallic massive ore behind them can do, and makes this a superb specimen. It was one of just a few dozen good international minerals that Dr. Miguel Romero purchased over the years (1970s-1980s mostly) to accompany his Mexican collection on display in theuacan, Mexico. Ex.
