Here we have an excellent matrix Sapphire specimen that came out of Pakistan about 10 years ago. The locality at Ganesh is one of the oldest and more renown Sapphire/Ruby localities in the world, and has long produced some amazing specimens. The crystal on this particular specimen is a very sharp, lustrous, well formed, gemmy crystal of a fine purplish color aesthetically sitting atop Calcite matrix. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection.
