This amazing quartz crystal combines two fascinating growth phenomena in one specimen: skeletal "elestial" growth and sceptering. On the termination of a normal quartz crystal has grown a scepter cap - but rather than being the typical scepter with the appearance of a normal quartz termination, it has the unusual architectural, skeletal growth style known as "elestial," with the pyramidal form repeated over and over in the subcrystals. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.
