Stillwellite (Color-Changing!)
This is one of the better crystals collected in a remakrable pocket from a glacial region, in september of 2004. It features a 1.3 cm crystal in matrix. Interestingly, they COLOR CHANGE from red (as shown) in halogen or sunlight to YELLOW in fluorescent light. Superb color and luster for the species, as well as unusually attractive for such a normally earthy species. They are translucent and partly gemmy, if not transparent per se.
