From the recent finds in Sulawesi Island, this is an exceptional specimen for a number of reasons: color saturation, luster, shapely form, and lack of significant damage. Although literally tonnage was found here, very few specimens are "worthy" to a sophisticated quartz collector as more than just representative. This piece has sculptural form that makes it look organic, combined with the other qualities to make it displayable in a mineral collection, as opposed to just being a decorative purple quartz like most of the rest. Complete all around, other than a few inconsequential small dings it is undamaged.
