Sparkly green and purple scorodite micrcrystals richly fill vugs on both sides of the quartz-rich matrix and are associated with massive, black ferberite on this fine Devon, England combination specimen from a famed locality known for its high quality scorodite - the Hermerdon Bal Mine. Some of the best European scorodite is from this open-cast mine. This is certainly an old specimen, probably late 1800s, and is not from recent mining in the mid 1990s here. Ex. Haldone and Wes Parker Collections.
