A dramatic, large cabinet amethyst plate from Artigas, Uruguay. This striking specimen has gemmy, glassy crystals with intense purple color and fabulously highlighted by tan spherules of devitrified quartz glass. The spherules look like eyes peering out from the amethyst. Very nearly pristine.
