A classic, very rich, and beautiful specimen from the Les Farges Mine of France. Lustrous, "wet-look," apple-green pyromorphite prisms to 7 mm cover the sculptural baryte matrix plate. Most of the tapering prisms are hoppered and the preferential coating of iron oxides is a nice accent. Les Farges has been closed since 1981. Ex. Jamie Bird Collection.
