As an Arizona scheelite crystal, this piece is particularly fine. It is lustrous and translucent, with a rich orange color. It fluoresces a snow white color as a bonus! I do not think there are more than a small handful of Arizona scheelites of such size out there, of ANY quality. This is a whomping huge crystal of the rare orange scheelite found in the 194 I and 195 I at this remote locality. This is one of the largest I have seen for sale. It is not complete, since it is contacted at the base and around the back (as shown) but it DOES display a nice upper-front side and shows numerous crystal faces when displayed properly on a shelf. It is large and dramatic, and an important addition to any Southwest collection, and seldom seen for sale in this quality.
