From a batch of Tongbei spessartines we got that are distinguished by having the gemmy, bright orange-red crystals ISOLATED on the matrix rather than massed together - which gives these a really distinctive and aesthetic appearance. You can also see some little grey muscovite books on the feldspar matrix.
