A limestone, metasomatized to massive garnet matrix, is host to sharp and isolated, glassy and gemmy, light emerald-green crystals of demantoid, to 1.2 cm across. The large crystal is also doubly terminated. For perfection of form, and gemmy crystals of high quality as a representative piece from the find, a superb example
