A first-rate thumbnail of gemmy to translucent, golden-yellow Legrandite crystals from Mina Ojuela. This wall of adjoining crystals has the electric-yellow color, and excellent luster, that is the hallmark of great Legrandites. The terminations are gemmy and well-formed, and the base for these crystals is a combination of flat-lying Legrandites and Limonite matrix. One of the 'Holy Grail' species of Mexican minerals, this is really a terrific thumbnail, with the pics painting a perfect picture. Ex Conklin Collection, and he got it back in the old days. Unlike most thumbnails which are a slender single crystal, this one has mass and color impact - VERY impressive in an exhibit case!
