This is the side of a large pocket covered with incredibly lustrous, bright and sparkly crystals of dioptase - like little gems! Though the crystals are not large, they are of the best Tsumeb quality. What makes it really attractive is that the dioptase crystals are isolated on a bed of white calcite, which sets them off perfectly with a pretty contrast. This is a BIG specimen, and the area of dioptase stretches a full 10 cm!
