In the late 1970's-early 1980's, the Camp Bird mine produced some very characteristic Scheelite specimens. These crystals have an easily recognizable brownish hue (with slight golden overtones). Most of these Scheelite crystals will fluoresce a bright blue-white color under SW UV light. This single crystal shows good pyramidal tetragonal form with above average luster, and sharp faces. From the King Stope, Level 5. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
