The color of this large, dazzling specimen is actually a much deeper and prettier blue - azurites are notoriously hard to photograph. The crystals here have grown on an underlying rolling matrix of botryoidal malachite, and the malachite provides a beautiful frame for the sparkling azurite. Very Bisbee-like in person, and with Bisbee specimens at stratospheric prices, I consider these Chinese beauties to be great bargains. 8.9 x 8.4 x 5.3cm
