This stunning display specimen of Fluorite is from the Yaogangxian Mine, China, one of the top contemporary localities for Fluorite. This remarkable deep purple cube is an essentially flawless "purple ice cube" with only barely perceptible internal veils. It resembles a cube of dark purple Jell-O right out of the mold! The crystal is transparent in the center and to the edges. Upon close inspection and looking at the bottom of the piece, the crystal is an intense purple with only an outer 2.5 mm rim of exceedingly deep purple, there are no other minerals or mineral inclusions associated with this piece; it's a complete total Fluorite gem. An exceptional Fluorite with stark symmetry and tremendous visual impact. It is nearly pristine (with only two very tiny restorations on two corners) and only contacted on the backside where it was extracted from the pocket. This Fluorite gem crystal has a mass of 152 grams. Shocking on display with a little light behind it!
