A very rich and fine ore specimen from the famous mines at Butte. Several clusters of moderately lustrous, grayish-brown enargite crystals are nicely scattered atop the mounds of lustrous, black sphalerite crystals. Most of the sphalerite has a light coating of iridescent blue and magenta bornite. The matrix is quartz with pyrite. Classic, old-time and very rich ore from this noted locale. Ex. Meieran, Zigras and Tarnowski Collections.
