A large, 2.5 x 2.1cm, tabular, brassy yellow, twin of striated cubanite is the main feature of this great small cabinet piece. Another complete, but malformed crystal to 1.8cm is found along one edge as well as a partial crystal at bottom center. The matrix consists of fine-grained cubanite and pyrite along with some quartz. Significantly large crystal on matrix for this copper iron sulfide species from this important locale. Cubanite from the Henderson No. 2 is considered, by far, to be the world's best. Donald K. Olson and Associates label. Note that most are found loose - any matrix crystals are so rare, I cannot recall seeing more than a few over the years of any quality. These would be from the 1970s-1980s, as I recall.
