A contrasting and unusual combination specimen consisting of Fluorapatite with Andradite Garnet. The well-formed, 2 to 3mm Andradites are dark brown, displaying dodecahedral and trapezohedral forms with good luster. Fluorapatites are glassy, bright pale green, prismatic crystals from 0.3 to 1.3cm in length with pyramidal terminations distributed uniformly amongst the Andradite crystals. The periphery of the piece and the matrix are mostly Andradite. A rare combo for China or anywhere! Unusual locality and find, of which this is one of a very few pieces we saw back in 2018.
