Sperrylite reaches its worldwide zenith at Norilsk. This is an old specimen from a collection where it was placed when these were more plentiful, than today. Even then, it would have been a remarkable miniature for the sharpness of the crystal and its perfection - most of this size are cracked or mottled. Emplaced smartly on lustrous, brassy yellow chalcopyrite is a compound crystal of splendent, silvery sperrylite, measuring 1.3 cm across. It is complete all around and beautifully displayed. Note that this piece, unlike many, is not repaired. A Russian classic, a display quality miniature as well.
